Spring is here and to celebrate, we're bringing in a new display! With the help of Parenthood and our visual merchandiser Leigh Gibson, they have designed a wonderful 'kids bedroom', perfectly styled for the new season. Furthermore, simply head upstairs to Parenthood and take a look at the products that they used AND MORE!
Urban Rhythm is ‘essentially Melbourne’, providing sophisticated and timeless timber furniture. Having been established in 1976, they have witnessed the ups and downs of our state capital’s trendy style, implementing only the positives in their products to reflect contemporary Melbournian sophistication. Their passion for furniture helps them to find the crucial balance between form and function, and are keen on sharing their love and knowledge with their customers.
Yes… they do have a huge passion for furniture, but their love does not stop there. They share your love of the environment and understand the need to be sustainability conscious. All of Urban Rhythm’s timber is harvested from government approved sustainable forests, and as of February 2015, have planted 2559 trees on the behalf of their customers. As you can tell, their emphasis on sustainability is large, and additionally provide a variety of furniture made from recycled timber (most of which is reclaimed from demolished old buildings).
They are committed to planting 1 tree for every Australian hardwood table or cabinet sold, through their green partner Carbon Neutral. Therefore when you buy solid timber furniture from Urban Rhythm, you are investing in both exquisite furniture as well as renewing the forests.
Our Urban Rhythm team here at HomeHQ Nunawading have years of experience in interior decorating and furniture, providing you with some of the best tips to spruce up your home.
Come visit them on Floor 1 and they’ll be happy to provide you with professional advice!

See what one of our 12 week challenge members Tracey has to say about her experience so far.
‘The 12 Week Challenge has been the inspiration and motivation I needed to kickstart my healthy eating lifestyle. I regularly attend the gym but I wasn’t getting the results I was after. The 12 Week Challenge has made me more accountable regarding the food I consume. Whilst my previous eating habits were not unhealthy, changing just a few things in my diet has resulted in a 3kg weight loss since the challenge started. The support and guidance from the 12 Week Challenge team has been great, and the training sessions have provided me with some new types of exercise regimes. I am really looking forward to continuing with the challenge and to see what results we all have at the end.’
For less than $13/week, what are you waiting for?

The winner of our recent Chinese New Year competition held at our 'Good Luck' stall was Judy Bainbridge. Judy received two tickets to the performance of SHEN YUN 2015. Congratulations Judy we hear it is an amazing event!
After much anticipation, BASE Camp Kids recently opened their doors to the excitement of many local families and families travelling quite a distance to experience a play centre that is unique.
BASE Camp owners who are parents of 4 children have created an environment of activities that encourage and nurture children’s creative thought and expression. Here at BASE Camp, children can challenge their thought process by testing their scientific theories and learning more about their environment. Or acquire a new skill in cake decoration or master a delicious lunch box-friendly recipe as an alternative to the humble sandwich. Or unleash their imagination and express themselves by creating their own artistic masterpiece.
Amidst all this tactile fun, children are improving their literacy and numeracy skills, interacting socially with other children and gaining a sense of accomplishment upon completion of the activity. Children’s sense of imaginative play will be stimulated by the massive BASE Camp playground, which is specially designed as a rustic cubby house full of fun obstacles to overcome.
Not only the children can enjoy but so do the parents. BASE Camp has its very own café offering a great selection of fresh and delicious nut-free, gluten-friendly meals, you should try the delicious home- made sausage rolls! And you can relax and enjoy the experience over some great Campos coffee or fresh milkshakes and smoothies made with real fruit.
BASE Camp Kids is all about ‘hands-on fun and happy moments’.
