The freshest colours of the season!

Spring & colour go hand in hand – after all pops of colours and a bit of greenery is all it takes this season.

When introducing colours to your home, remember that they should be an extension of your style. This will create a seamless refresh throughout your house. Focus on key pieces that you have and love, then work out what colours will work well with those pieces before you introduce them.

Key colour trends this season are:

Minimalist pastels

Think mint greens & sandy pinks – simple yet modern design. Adairs is right on it with their fantastic new range!

Serene shades of blue

Making you feel at peace, casual & calm blues are channelling the coastal theme. Bed Bath N’ Table features these shades perfectly with their stunning bed sets.

Metallics

They are back and here to stay! No longer a dramatic colour choice, the metallic is the new neutral, adding breaths of freshness and glimmer – check out Koala & Tree, they have a range of pendant lights that are right up this trends alley!

Featuring these pops of colours can be as dramatic or minimal as you like, just remember to start small and then build as your style becomes more apparent.

From tips and trends to products – this season you can count on Nunawading HomeHQ to help you achieve the look you love with just a little inspiration!

Spring is all about the warmer weather, especially when it means we can spend more time outside. So to start off, why not update your outdoor living space for those sunny afternoon lunches with friends. We love Provincial Home Living’s range of verandah sofas while Adairs’ tropical themed cushions are giving us the perfect resort-style vibe!

While it’s important to make sure your outdoor retreat is refreshed, inside your home should also give you that feeling of revitalisation. That doesn’t mean you need to do a complete home overhaul, but just a few simple tasks that will have your house feeling like Spring has sprung. To kick you off, follow these quick tips:

  • Declutter!

It’s time to clean out those shelves, organise that pantry and style that bookshelf you always use as a storage unit. Lincraft has a great range of products that will help you find the right storage solution for your home.

  • Farewell Winter

Put away anything that alludes to a winter vibe – that means all that heavy fabric, faux fur pillows, throw blankets and rugs. It’s time to make room for your fresh spring décor – Bed Bath N’ Table has a great selection of affordable homewares and fabric flowers that will have your house looking and feeling lighter.

  • Add pops of colour!

Reflect the bright shades of Spring with vibrant colours or powdery tones. This can be in the form of larger pieces of furniture like sofas and lounges, or smaller items such as woven rugs that will introduce texture to your layout. Visit Urban Rhythm for their fantastic furniture options.

By all means don’t try to do this all at once, just knock it over bit by bit and over the next few weeks we will continue to help you get your home ready for Spring.
